Company Background
Malaysia Airlines Academy was established in October 1994 to cater to the learning needs of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) employees. The launch of the new MAB Academy (MABA) in December 2017 as a distinct subsidiary company under MAG has been identified as a key enabler to transform, educate and develop aviation professionals of the future.
We are committed to bringing people together to offer world-class and highly relevant learning and development opportunities, providing a holistic aviation education experience by covering all aspects of airline operations and management.

Schools
School of Flight Operations
The School of Flight Operations began operating on 1 March 2017 as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) certified by the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia. Serving as the anchor for the majority of training to the Malaysia Aviation Group, the school has now consolidated all trainings it offers under MABA. It currently operates simulator training for eight commercial aircraft types, as well as ground training for pilots.
School of Hospitality
The School of Hospitality began its operations as part of MABA on 1 December 2017. Prior to MABA, it had been operating since 1972 as Cabin Operations Training & Standards, which was the training arm for the cabin crew of Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and MASwings. The school offers programmes in the fields of hospitality and customer service, with a long history of training excellence in producing multiple award-winning cabin crew, and clientele that includes other airlines, top 100 Malaysian corporations as well as students from both local and prestigious universities.
School of General Aviation & Professional Development
Backed by over 20 years of experience and a deep passion for excellence, the School of General Aviation & Professional Development has established itself as a top aviation learning hub for industry leaders, serving the aviation and airlines sector in Malaysia and beyond. Now under the wings of MABA and supported by the resource of Malaysia Airlines Berhad, the school offers various Leadership, Business Acumen, Professional Development, and Functional and Regulatory training programmes.
